The Junction is committed to anti-racism work. Systematic racism and white supremacy have plagued our history for centuries and continue to do so in the form of calculated acts of hate towards our sisters and brothers of color and through deep-seeded systemic policies and practices.

Through colonization and slavery, the United States of America helped to create and embrace a system of valuing and devaluing people based on skin color and ethnic identity. The name for this system is white supremacy. This system deliberately subjugated groups of people for the purpose of material, political, and social advantage. Racism is the continuing legacy of white supremacy. Racism is a lie about our fellow human beings, for it says that some are less than others.

The Junction is committed to anti-racism work. We are committed to education, activism, and active listening as means to use this platform to combat racism and injustice and to broaden our understanding of equality.

We welcome all to the table who wish to join us in this work.
